Together Telehealth
Marla Williams, CCC-SLP has 10 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist. She began her career at Eanes ISD, Austin TX in 2014, working with elementary & middle school students. Most recently, she worked at Proximity Telehealth, providing remote speech therapy services to public & charter schools in Idaho, serving a K-12 environment. She also served as a supervisor for speech paraprofessionals in a remote capacity.
In addition to her school speech therapy background, Marla has worked in Hospital & Skilled Nursing rehab settings. In the hospital, she worked across intensive care, rehabilitation, and medical-surgical units, providing patient care, advocating for best practices in speech therapy, swallowing & cognition, and training nurses on the role of speech therapists in acute care settings.
She brings her extensive experience to each therapy session, tailoring it to the needs of each person she treats.
Marla earned her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2014 and her Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Disorders in 2011, also from SFA.
Outside of work, Marla is married, with two toddler tornados who keep life interesting. She is a foster parent and serves on the board of the Tri-County Meals on Wheels. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, road trips, & kicking back with an episode of Jeopardy, Psych, or NCIS.
